Office Space....Wall 1

I figured since I spend 4 days a week 10 hours a day in a place I may as well make it my own! I started by rummaging through some furniture my agency was looking at getting rid of because it was "outdated." I found a couch that was not the best looking, but figured it had potential. Since it was going to be in my office and I don't get very many visitors a twin sheet would be the perfect cover. I didn't want to spend to much on a slip cover since this couch wasn't my own. I found some pillows at Burlington and put the ugly hard couch cushions in storage! I had the green vase next to my couch and its contents at home and thought it would fit great on the end table! Next for some wall decor. These pinwheels were super easy to make. 2 pieces of scrapbook paper I had on hand, a little bit of measuring, folding, and gluing and hung them up with some thumb tacks and now my space is complete!

Whimsical Delight

My parents were out and about and ran passed a yard sale. Immediately my mom saw this mirror and thought of me. So for $2 bucks it was hers! When I got it there was no question thought it could use a face lift.. I was thinking about where I would put it and then would base the color on that. A bell went off in my head and knew it would be the perfect addition to my office! So I took some Krylon-aluminum color spray paint that I had on hand applied a 2 coats. It turned out very cute and was a great addition to my office!

Here goes nothing!

I figured since I have been busy creating different things either that I have had on hand or found for a very reasonable price at a yard sale or goodwill I would share some of my madness! I have recently been trying to be crafty, chic, and creative while thinking thrifty!!! Does that make sense???? I would soon realize that this was not a bad idea and also allowed me to think out side of the box! I read a ton of blogs and either get ideas from these blogs or use their ideas for inspiration. So I figured if I started this blog I could also start giving those people credit where credit is due. I also hope to share with them ideas of things that I have come up with on my own!! I hope you enjoy!! I know I enjoy this time in my life and am thankful for my husband that has either helped me complete a project or given me advice on how to do something a little different! Also, I apologize in advance, I was never really great about taking before or after pictures, so some of my before pictures are actually a "during" picture. I will get better with this I promise!! So as my title suggests here goes nothing......
